Anaquit, the real estate platform of a New York-based family office, is seeking a junior real estate professional with at least 3 years of experience in real estate development (primarily multi-family, condominium, hospitality, retail) to join the team. The primary function of the hire will be supporting the Managing Director, Real Estate on real estate development and asset management of the family office’s current portfolio (primarily focused in the Caribbean) and vetting new investment opportunities across asset classes.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
− Assisting with underwriting real estate development projects and property-level investments across multifamily, condominium, hospitality and retail assets
− Performing thorough, property-level diligence and market research to support underwriting
− Monitoring investment progress and performance and preparing quarterly asset and
portfolio-level reports
− Coordinating project design team and consultant meetings and preparing meeting minutes
− Organizing internal document storage for efficient internal and external use
− Staying current on market trends across target geographies and asset classes
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
− Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required
− Minimum of 3 years of experience working on real estate development projects, real estate
investments and acquisitions
− Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel financial modeling
− Proficiency in how to integrate AI into real estate development and investment tasks
− Ability to operate independently, complete tasks without constant supervision and anticipate
and address issues proactively
− Demonstrated interest in market dynamics including real estate trends, asset classes and
capital markets
− High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality in work product
− Sound judgment and confidence to raise risks, concerns and alternative viewpoints
constructively with senior stakeholders
− Intellectual curiosity and willingness to ask questions to ensure clarity, accuracy and strong decision-making
