Argosy Real Estate Partners (“Argosy”) is a manager of opportunistic, core plus, and Opportunity Zone real estate private equity funds focused on the lower middle market (generally $5 million-$25 million equity investments). THE POSITION
Argosy is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Associate / Vice President, AI & Technology Initiatives to join our team. This is a newly created role that sits at the intersection of real estate investment, data infrastructure, and Artificial Intelligence. The successful candidate will own the design and implementation of AI-powered workflows across the firm, lead the buildout of our data infrastructure, and serve as the primary internal resource translating the needs of our investment, asset management, and investor relations teams into embedded, technology-driven solutions.
This role reports directly to a Partner and works closely with all aspects of the firm. It offers a compelling opportunity for a candidate who combines real estate or institutional investment management experience with demonstrated technical skills in AI implementation and data infrastructure to take meaningful ownership of a high-priority strategic initiative at an established institutional real estate investment manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
AI Workflow Development & Adoption
Own the identification, prioritization, and implementation of AI-powered workflows across acquisitions, asset management, and investor relations, using tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Hebbia, Endex, and others.
Design, build, and maintain AI-powered workflows, including agent-based automations, prompt libraries, Claude Projects, and Hebbia document workflows; manage our external consultant resources to execute on defined specifications.
Lead firm-wide AI adoption by developing finished, user-ready workflows and training resources; serve as the internal expert and primary point of contact for AI tool usage across the team.
Develop and maintain a shared best practices library; track usage, impact, and adoption metrics across the firm and report progress to senior leadership.
Continuously evaluate new AI tools and platforms; provide recommendations on adoption, consolidation, or discontinuation, including vendor security and compliance review.
Manage external technical resources and consultants supporting the AI program, ensuring deliverables are clearly scoped, on schedule, and aligned with firm priorities.
Data Infrastructure & Analytics Support
Lead the buildout of Argosy’s data infrastructure, serving as the primary internal project manager for the database implementation in coordination with our external consultant and internal analytics team.
Use SQL and related tools to query, validate, and maintain firm data; develop and maintain PowerBI
dashboards and AI-enabled analytics tools layered on top of firm data systems.
Translate business requirements from the investment, asset management, and IR teams into clear
technical specifications; manage execution by internal and external resources.
Design and enforce data governance standards to ensure firm data is accurate, consistently
structured, secure, and aligned with investment and reporting workflows.
Firm-Wide Operations Support
Serve as the primary liaison between investment team stakeholders and technical resources, ensuring AI and data initiatives remain grounded in practical business needs and deliver measurable value.
Support investor relations and fundraising workflows, including automation of DDQ and RFP responses, LP reporting, and marketing materials.
Assist the acquisitions team with AI-enhanced market research, deal screening, and investment memo preparation.
Support asset management workflows including quarterly reporting, portfolio monitoring, and operating partner communications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, real estate, economics, computer science, data science, information systems, or a related field.
5 to 8 years of professional experience in commercial real estate, private equity, investment management, financial services, data analytics, or a related technical field, with demonstrated capability in both AI or data-driven work and the context to apply it within an institutional investment environment.
Demonstrated fluency with AI tools including large language models (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar), document intelligence platforms, and automation tools; hands-on experience building and deploying AI workflows in a professional setting.
Solid understanding of real estate investment or institutional investment management fundamentals, including underwriting, asset management, fund reporting, and LP communications.
Strong communicator; able to translate between business needs and technical capabilities, and to present clearly to senior stakeholders.
Proven project management skills; able to run multiple workstreams simultaneously, manage internal and external resources, and deliver against defined timelines with limited oversight.
Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
High level of initiative, proactive problem-solving ability, and entrepreneurial spirit; demonstrated
track record of identifying opportunities, driving projects forward, and delivering results with limited
direction.
Proficiency in SQL required; working knowledge of Python (scripting, API integration, automation) strongly preferred.
Experience with PowerBI or similar data visualization tools; advanced Excel skills required.
Experience with database design or data infrastructure implementation a plus.
COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience; discretionary bonus based on individual and firm performance.
